Jaylee lost another tooth!!

Jaylee had her 6 year old check up with Dr. Schultz today.
While we were waiting for him to come in I asked her how her loose tooth was doing.
I watched her wiggle it and I noticed that it was ready to fall out.
I gave her a tissue and told her to try to pull it out.....
A couple of tugs later, it came right out!

She was so excited!  This is the third tooth that she has lost, but the other two we never saw because she ate them!  Well the first one that she lost at school Daddy ended up finding it in the lost and found box at her school... *wink, wink*  So this was a big deal.

Peace and love.....

Jaylee's 6th Birthday Party

Today was a really good day!
A little loud, a little hectic but it's a kid's party, that's how it's supposed to be right?!

Jaylee is starting to look so grown up!  We are so proud of her.  She is such a good girl, and she is doing amazing in school.  She got all straight A's again this quarter, including an A+ in numbers!

Our friends Coby and Rick are out of town, but they still let us steal Riley for the day and she gets to spend the night here with Jaylee tonight.  So Jaylee is very excited about that!

Jaylee had fun with her girlfriends.

And Sawyer was quite the ladies man today!

They played a game of hot potato with a butterfly!
Jaylee was the winner, but she gave the prize to the next runner up, Riley!

Her princess cake turned out so cute!!
Right before cake poor Jaylee had a moment.  The kids were being silly and crawling through the cat door, well Jaylee got stuck and the girls laughed because they thought she was being silly.  So poor Jay got her feelings hurt and cried and cried!!

Marshall looks up to his big sister so much!

Everyone was waiting patiently for cake...
Well as patient as a bunch of kids can!!

Sawyer had his first taste of ice cream!!  He LOVED it.....
When Kayleigh pulled the spoon away he cried for more!

Then we let the kids hold the baby chicks.
Nick was helping Kennedy pet a baby chick.

It was a great day!  We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends who don't mind our animal loving ways!

Peace and love......

We got baby chickens!

Russ and I have dreamed of this moment for a while now.  We have wanted to have chickens for quite some time.  That was one of the reasons why we bought this house, because it came with plenty of land so that we could have room to raise chickens.

The first batch of chickens we got about a week ago.  The kids had fun helping us set up their area under the heat lamp.  These chicks were about a week old when we got them.

Today we got a batch of 8 more chicks that are only a few days old.

Let's hope that all of these baby chicks continue to do well and thrive so that we can get them in the coop and start collecting eggs!

Peace and love.....

Jaylee turns 6!

March 19th, 2012

Today was a special day.  It was Jaylee's 6th birthday.  I let her wear her special dress to school today.

I picked her up from school and surprised her with a birthday balloon.  Then we came home and she opened her gifts from her Great Grandma and Grandpa Bigsby that they mailed her and from us.

We took care of all of the animals and baby Sawyer and then got ready to head out for Jaylee's birthday dinner.  She got to choose where she wanted to go, and she chose Red Lobster.

While we were waiting for our table, we saw Dr. Fieo walk by.  He is the Dr that delivered her.  We thought that was pretty neat to see him on her actual birthday.

I can't get over how big Jaylee is getting.  We couldn't be more proud of her.  She is an amazing little
girl.  She is so smart, kind, compassionate, funny and so wise for her age.

Happy Birthday Jaylee!!
Peace and love.....

We got pet bunnies!!

It was supposed to be a surprise.... but Jaylee stumbled upon the rabbit cage in the garage!
So we decided to get things ready together as a family.

Jaylee and Marshall helped Daddy put the cage together.

Marshall even sat with Sawyer to keep him company.

Then of course they got inside the cage when I joked that the cage was to keep the kids in!!

Jaylee picked a spot for their house and toys.
Marshall picked a spot for the food bowl and water.

Tada!!  The finished product...
And these are our two Holland Lop bunnies.  They don't have names yet.  So far Marshall wants to name one "Jack Underpants", and Jaylee wants to name one "Fluffy".... we shall see.....
The poor things are still a little nervous, so the kids haven't had a chance to hold them yet.  We are going to let them get used to their new surroundings first.

Aren't they cute!!
They will be spoiled rotten here, just like the other furry creatures that we have in our home!!
Peace and love.....
